O meni
“27 years ago, I got into the real estate market because I grew up with a grandmother who never finished elementary school. She raised me on Jesus, education, and building generational wealth.”
I remember coming to America from Jamaica with $800 in my pocket. I will never forget how it felt when I bought my own home years later. My grandmother was right; she always told me to focus on faith, education, and building generational wealth through real estate. With this foundational belief, I pursued my degree in Business and Computer Science from Long Island University, New York, setting the stage for a career that blended both business acumen and technological prowess. My early professional endeavors led me to Wall Street, where I navigated the complexities of finance as a Financial Analyst within a major Financial Institution's Bank Consulting division. This experience not only sharpened my business skills but also taught me to handle adverse situations with delicacy and expertise.
When my husband first suggested that a career in real estate would help me fulfill those three things my grandma told me about, I laughed in his face. But you know what, he was right!
I seized the opportunity to embark on a new path in real estate. Despite temporarily stepping away to prioritize my growing family, the pull of real estate never waned. As I witnessed the market's turmoil upon my return, I realized the crucial role education would play in serving families navigating foreclosures, short sales, and loan modifications.
Thus, I committed myself to continuous learning, joining Keller Williams Realty for its unparalleled training and educational resources. I pursued designations such as SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource) and CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), equipping myself to guide clients through even the most challenging real estate transactions. Because of my love for the profession and my need to give back, I became a certified John Maxwell Coach, trainer, and speaker.
Through the storms and uncertainties, my dedication to helping families achieve their dreams of homeownership has remained unwavering. My journey from Jamaica to America, from financial struggle to homeownership, fuels my passion for real estate. Today, as I serve clients in Cobb, Cherokee, Dekalb, and North Fulton counties, I carry with me the wisdom of my grandmother and the gratitude for the leap of faith taken 27 years ago. Together, let's build wealth, realize dreams, and pave the way for future generations through the power of real estate.
